Kerr Lake

Henderson, NC

On Roanoke River, about 178.7 river miles above the mouth. Kerr Lake includes drainage areas of the Roanoke, Dan and Smith rivers. The length of the shoreline is about 800 miles. Kerr Lake covers an area of 48,900 acres at elevation 300 feet, msl which is the normal operating level. Resident and non-resident fishing licenses from Virginia or North Carolina are recognized.
