Lake Champlain

Lake Champlain is a natural lake situated in the Champlain Valley between the Green Mountains of Vermont and the Adirondack Mountains of New York. It covers an area of 278,400 acres and roughly has 587 miles of shoreline. The maximum length of the lake is 110 miles and maximum width of 12 miles. A Vermont fishing license is reciprocal with New York for all of Lake Champlain with the exception of the southern most tip of the lake. A New York fishing license is good only in certain areas of Vermont.
